Ans: Weathering causes igneous and metamorphic rocks to degrade, disintegrate and wear down. The weathered particles are carried away by running water (rivers), wind, and glaciers. The material then gets deposited in low-lying areas and is called sediments. When these sediments solidify into layers as a result of pressure from overlying sediments, they form sedimentary rocks.

Ans: We cannot go to the centre of the earth because of the following reasons:
