(d) 2 times the sum of the number x and 7 is 13.

Q.12: The sum of three consecutive odd numbers is 51. Find the numbers.

Q.13: Jane is 6 years older than her younger sister. After 10 years, the sum of their ages will be 50 years. Find their present ages.

Q.14: The denominator of a fraction is greater than the numerator by 8. If the numerator is increased by 17 and the denominator is decreased by 1, the number obtained is 3/2. Find the fraction.

Q.15: A sum of Rs.2700 is to be given in the form of 63 prizes. If the prize is of either Rs.100 or Rs.25, find the number of prizes of each type.

Q.16: In an isosceles triangle, the base angles are equal, and the vertex angle is 80 degrees. Find the measure of the base angles.
