— NTA started online registration for NEET 2025 on February 07, 2025. The last date to apply will be on March 07, 2025.

NEET 2025 Section-wise Marks Distribution

The NEET question paper comprises four sections from the three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Zoology + Botany). Candidates can refer to the below subject-wise mark distribution/weightage that will be followed for NEET 2025:

Candidates can check the NEET marking scheme of NEET paper below:

• 4 marks will be added to the overall score for each correct answer.
• One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• If a question is left unanswered, no marks will be deducted or awarded as per the NEET exam pattern.
• No changes or modifications are allowed in the NEET OMR sheet.
• Suppose any question is found to be incorrect or dropped; in that case, 4 marks will be awarded to all the candidates irrespective of whether a candidate has attempted or not the question.

NEET 2025 Languages/Medium of Paper

While registering for the NEET 2025 exam, aspirants must also know the medium of instruction available. NEET 2025 is held in the following 13 languages at different exam centres; however, the selection of medium of instruction is still to be subject to specific exam centres.

Some important points with respect to the choice of language in the NEET exam are given below:

• Candidates can opt for a question paper in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, or Punjabi.
• The option of the medium of question paper is exercised during the form-filling process.
• The option, once exercised, cannot be changed later by the candidate.
• Candidates who opt for English are given the English test booklet only.
• Those who opted for Hindi are provided with the Bilingual Test Booklet, i.e., Hindi and English.
• Candidates who opted for vernacular languages are provided with the Bilingual Test Booklet, i.e., in the selected language and English.
• In case of ambiguity in the translation of any of the questions, its English version will be treated as final.

Instructions for Filling NEET 2025 OMR Sheet

NEET aspirants must know the instructions regarding filling out the NEET 2025 OMR sheet for the exam. Here are some guidelines on how to fill a NEET OMR sheet appropriately:

• As per the guidelines issued by NTA, all the answers in the NEET exam must be marked using a ballpoint pen.
• The authorities provide the ballpoint pen inside the exam hall.
• All the candidates must mark the code of the test booklet code on the NEET OMR sheet 2025.
• As per the NEET exam pattern, once marked in the OMR sheet, the answers cannot be erased.
