NEET Counselling 2024: The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), conducts the NEET UG Counselling 2024 according to a set of standards for admissions under the All India Quota (AIQ). The counselling process facilitates the admission of successful candidates to MBBS/BDS courses offered by medical and dental colleges across India.

The DGHS will conduct the NEET counselling on 15% of AIQ seats, while state counselling authorities will oversee the NEET UG 2024 online counselling for state quota seats. The Department of Health and Family Welfare (DHFW), Kolkata, will issue the WB NEET 2024 counselling schedule. The WB NEET 2023 counselling registration will likely begin in July 2024, and end on August 2024. CEE has released the NEET Kerala counselling provisional rank list on its official portal, i.e., cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates with any complaints regarding their rank lists can contact the authorities by July 2024. However, it is to be noted that barely being mentioned in the rank list does not guarantee admission, candidates must satisfy all the criteria, too. Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2024 Schedule

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) will start the registration for NEET UG counselling at tsmedadm.tsche.ac.in. Candidates can apply online for MBBS and BDS courses till July 14, 2024.

NEET UG Counselling Procedure 2024

The MCC NEET UG counselling procedure will include registration, counselling fee, seat allotment, etc. Candidates can find the complete process in the following sections.

MCC NEET UG Counselling Registration 2024

Candidates who qualified for NEET 2024 will be asked to register for the NEET counselling process. They had to visit the official website of MCC for the 2024 counselling session. Check the below steps to register for NEET counselling.

• Visit the MCC official website, i.e. mcc.nic.in.
• On the homepage, select the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ tab.
• Click on the ‘New registration’ link.
• Enter your name, father’s name, mother’s name, category, email ID, mobile number, and other details (as shown in the image below).
• The user ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID.
• On the login screen, enter the details and login credentials. Complete the counselling registration process.
• The registration fee for the counselling must be paid online only.
• Take the printout of the confirmation page and transaction fee.
• The NEET-UG counselling registration fee and the tuition fee after selection.

MCC NEET 2024 Counselling Fee Payment

Candidates will pay the NEET UG registration fee after successfully filling out the NEET counselling registration form. The registration fee is non-refundable. Candidates can pay the fee using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

MCC NEET 2024 Choice Locking

The choice-locking step includes choosing the preferred courses and colleges. Candidates will see a list of the colleges for which they are eligible. Then they are advised to select the preferences in order of their priority.

Candidates should be careful when submitting their choices and double-check all the options. Once the choices are locked, or the dates of choice filling for counselling are over, they cannot make any further changes.

MCC NEET 2024 Seat Allotment Result

In the NEET seat allotment process, the authorities will allot seats to the candidates per the merit list based on their NEET 2024 scores. The MCC releases the seat allotment list highlighting the candidates’ admission seat status for the respective round. After processing all the choices and the merit list, authorities will announce the NEET seat allotment result.

MCC NEET 2024 Reporting to College

Once the NEET seat allotment process is done, the candidates will be asked to report to the allotted college within the specified time. A time frame of 10 to 11 days is given to the candidates to confirm seats and report to the allotted institute.

MCC NEET 2024 Fee Payment for Admission

Candidates will have to pay the tuition fee and confirm their admission. The tuition fee will vary as per the owner of the institute. Candidates joining the colleges under 15% AIQ/Central Universities must pay INR 10,000/- if from the general category and INR 5,000/- if from the reserved category. However, the candidates of all categories in Deemed University should pay INR 2,00,000.

Documents Required for NEET Counselling

Selected candidates must report to the college within a specific period. Also, candidates must carry important documents per the instructions at the reporting time. Candidates can follow the below list to know the documents required during NEET counselling:

• Class 10 and 12 Scorecards and Certificates,
• ID Proof or a Certificate Displaying the Candidate’s Nationality,
• Eight Passport Size Pictures,
• Provisional Allotment Letter,
• Caste Certificate (If Any),
• Physically Disabled Certificates (If Any),
• Aadhar Card.

NRI/OCI candidates who wish to participate in counselling in Deemed Universities are required to submit the following documents:

• Passport copy of sponsored embassy certificate
• Sponsorship affidavit stating that the sponsor agrees to bear the expenses for the whole period of study
• Affidavit stating the relation of the candidate with the sponsor

NEET Counselling: Process of Exit and Forfeiture

Check the detailed process of counselling rounds for NEET exam-exit and forfeiture:

• Exit (Applicable for Round 1 only): If a candidate has been allotted a seat in Round 1 but does not wish to report or join the allotted institute, they will not be penalised. Also, the security deposit will not be forfeited. Such candidates will be eligible for the subsequent rounds of the counselling process.
• Exit with Forfeiture: If candidates are allocated seats in Round 2 and do not wish to join the allotted college, they can still exit with forfeiture. In this case, they will be losing the security amount deposited. They will have to choose this option within the specified time frame.

Please note that candidates, who have been allotted a seat in the NEET second round of counselling, will not be eligible to resign or surrender their seats. Furthermore, these candidates will not be allowed to participate in state counselling.

NEET Counselling 2024 – Mop-up Round

Here is the procedure that will be followed for the NEET mop-up round counselling for Central/Deemed Universities/ ESIC/ AIIMS and JIPMER:

• Fresh Registration for the mop-up round (please note that registration is not required for the candidates who have resigned in the earlier NEET admission rounds).
• Once the candidates have registered, they must fill in their preferences for the respective institutes and courses.
• The seat allotment for the mop-up round of counselling in the process.
• The officials announced the seat allotment list on the official website in PDF.
• Reporting at the allotted medical or dental institute during this round.
• The number of stray vacant seats is listed. This list will be sent to the Deemed or Central Universities so that these seats can be filled in order of merit.
• The Deemed/Central Universities will conduct the vacancy round of the final stray. Please note that no new registration of the candidates will be considered in this round.
