1.) To secure admission into MBBS, candidates must achieve a combined score of more than 50% on their 12th board exams in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
2.) In the NEET Entrance Exams, scoring higher than the cut-off scores is required.
3.) If the candidate’s score is higher than the cut-off, candidates can apply to private medical schools that provide MBBS admission based on a legitimate NEET score. (The cut-off mark is the average of an individual’s top score in the NEET admission tests.)
Under the All India Quota, 15% of the total MBBS seats are available. In addition, the 15% AIQ quota seats under the Central Act further have division as below:
Candidates with disabilities must fill 5% of the available seats. Director-General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct the counselling for admission to the 15% All India Quota seats.
All aspirants who cross the cut-off percentage or score of NEET-UG 2022 will be eligible to compete for 15% (AIQ) seats based on availability. Counselling for All India Quota seats will occur in two online rounds. The vacant AIQ seats that remain after two rounds of NEET-UG Counselling 2022 will get transferred to the respective state counselling authorities.

The following are the steps to take to register for NEET:
DGHS will conduct counselling for 100% of seats in Deemed and Central Universities, following the rules and regulations of the relevant University or Institution. In addition, the DGHS will conduct counselling for seats reserved for Insured Persons’ wards (IP quota) in Employees State Insurance Corporation medical colleges and the MBBS seats at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.
The DGHS will arrange three counselling sessions for Deemed and Central Universities. The first two rounds of seat allocation for AIQ seats, Deemed Medical Colleges and Central Universities will occur concurrently. The DGHS already took all the mop-up counselling rounds for Deemed and Central universities in March 2021.
The MCC will publish a college-by-college seat matrix detailing the various seats available in medical and dental colleges across India. The seat matrix will be released before the counselling session starts. Interested candidates who have qualified in NEET 2022 must register first to participate in NEET 2022 counselling for AIQ, Deemed, and Central universities.
