Candidates can check NEET exam code 2022 at the official website of nta, i.e. neet.nta.nic.in. During the NEET registration 2022, aspirants can change their NEET 2022 qualification code to reflect their educational qualifications. These NEET exam codes must be filled in as key NEET qualifying criteria. It includes information such as the NEET 2022 qualifying examination code for droppers, the appearing examination code, the results awaited code, and more.
The NEET exam codes describe the qualifying examination that an applicant has passed. During the registration process for the NEET exam, applicants must choose a code. Candidates are also encouraged to choose a NEET qualifying code 2022 carefully because it will be checked during NEET counselling.

According to the NEET 2022, Code 1 is applicable only For Candidates appearing in class 12th in 2022. Candidates who fall into this category must select their qualifying code as 01.
NEET 2022 Qualifying CODE 01 | A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12 in 2022, whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test, but they shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS if they do not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of counselling. |
According to the NEET Qualifying code for droppers is Code 2, Candidates who have completed their qualifying examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination must opt for this.
NEET 2022 Qualifying CODE 02 | The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education. |
NEET 2022 Qualification Code 3 states that the Candidates who have completed their Class 12 will fall under Code 3. The difference between code 2 and code 3 is that the former is applicable for students who have dropped a year before appearing for the NEET 2022 exam.
NEET 2022 Qualifying CODE 03 | The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining the body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and English as a compulsory subject. |
Candidates who have completed their Class 12 and other pre-professional examinations must mark their qualifying code as Code 4 while filling out the NEET 2022 Application Form.
NEET 2022 Qualifying CODE 04 | The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical tests in these subjects and English as a compulsory subject. |
In the first year of B.Sc. or a similar 3 year degree course, candidates must mark Code 5 in the NEET 2022 application form.
NEET 2022 Qualifying CODE 05 | The first year of the three years degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course. |
Candidates who have passed their B.Sc exam with the PCB Subjects must mark Code 6 in the NEET 2022 application form.
NEET 2022 Qualifying CODE 06 | B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that they have passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that they have passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. |
NEET Code 7 is valid or applicable for the candidates studying in any other educational board, equivalent to 10+2 of the Indian education system.
NEET 2022 Qualifying CODE 07 | Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 2 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology; Which shall include practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. |
