The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main exam, and JoSAA will conduct the admission and counselling process after announcing the JEE Main results.

Candidates willing to take admission to the National Institute of Technology have to fill out the JEE Main application. In order to fill-up the form, candidates have to follow these steps:
After payment of fees, the candidates are advised to take the printout of the application form for future reference.
In order to get admission to NIT UG courses, candidates will have to qualify for JEE Mains entrance exam. JEE main result consists of normalized scores for all the three subjects as well as the total normalized score secured in the exam. After the declaration of the result, candidates will be assigned the All India Rank (AIR). To check the JEE main result for NIT admissions 2025, candidates will have to log in using the application number and password/date of birth. Those qualifying in the NIT exam will be eligible for counselling and seat allotment process, subject to meeting the other eligibility criteria.
The cut-off for NIT admissions will be released along with the result. The NIT cut-off is the minimum rank required for candidates to be considered for admission to undergraduate engineering programs offered by the National Institute of Technology. JoSAA authorities will release the admission cut-off after every round of allotment. The counselling and seat allocation for admission to NIT will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). To participate in the counselling for NIT admissions, candidates will have to apply on the official website of JoSAA to participate in the JEE Main counselling and seat allotment 2025. Initially, JoSAA will conduct two mock rounds followed by seven rounds of counselling.
