Candidates must pay a counselling fee to complete the counselling registration process. The candidates will have to pay two types of counselling fees: the non-refundable fee and the refundable fee, which will be adjusted against the candidate’s tuition. The candidates are required to submit and lock their preference for admission through NEET UG 2023-24 counselling. They can select as many choices as they want from the displayed list of colleges and lock them by clicking on ‘Lock Choices’.
Once the choices are locked, candidates cannot modify or cancel their selections, so they have to be extremely careful in this step. The candidates are required to take a printout of the locked choices for future events related to NEET UG 2023-24.
After every round, MCC releases seat allotment results in the form of a list, followed by the issue of a seat allotment letter to the selected candidates. Candidates must report to the allotted colleges with the allotment letter and other documents to finish the admission process.
The top 15% of total qualified students will be eligible for the seats under the all-India quota. This cut-off is expected to be 470 marks out of 720 marks.
A list of successful candidates from each State is forwarded to the Directorate of Medical Education of the State concerned for allotment of seats either through online counselling or through personal appearance that is subject to applicable laws prevailing in the State.
A list of successful candidates who have filled out the required forms for AFMC is forwarded to the Directorate General of Armed Force Medical Service, Ministry of Defense, and the Government of India for second-stage counselling and screening.
The NEET cut-off score is the minimum score needed to pass the test. The NEET cut-off percentage and marks are published on the scorecard. Q.1: What is the minimum percentage of marks required in class 12 boards to apply for NEET?
Ans: The candidate must have cleared these subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in their respective board exam above the minimum percentage specified for their category (50% for general; 40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). Students appearing for their boards this year can also give the exam provisionally.
Q.2: What subjects do I need to have in Class 12 to apply for NEET?
Ans: A candidate who wants to study a medical course must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects in secondary (10th) and senior secondary (12th), as well as English at a 12th-grade level.
