NTSE Exam Date: National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is an offline scholarship exam that is conducted for Class 10 students. This exam is administered by the National Council of Educational Research and Training with the sole purpose of finding talented students who are interested in pursuing education in science and social science. NTSE 2025 is conducted by NCERT at two stages. All states and UTs are responsible for conducting the Stage 1 exam whereas the Stage 2 exam will be conducted by NCERT at the national level exclusively to students who pass the Stage 1 exam. The main aim of the NTSE scheme is to provide financial assistance to students who wish to pursue education in the Science and Social Studies stream.

State-level authorities are releasing NTSE application form 2025 for the stage 1 exam. On the official website of NCERT, NTSE 2025 stage 2 exam date has been announced. NTSE 2025 exams will be held via offline mode on January 2025, for some states. Interested students can check the state-wise NTSE exam dates on the official website. NTSE 2025 Exam Schedule 

Note: For a few sections, we have provided some tentative dates in the above table based on the past year’s NTSE Exam Dates and events. We will update the exact dates of the NTSE 2025 exam after the issue of official notification on the official website of the exam conducting body. 

NTSE Stage 1 Exam Date 2025-26

The NTSE Exam dates for Stage 1 for the academic year 2025-26 has been announced and they are tabulated below:

NTSE Exam Registartion Date 2025

The registration form of NTSE 2025 was issued in October 2024. All eligible candidates can apply for the NTSE 2024 registration through the official website. The last date to apply for the NTSE 2025 varies from state to state. To fill out the registration form of NTSE 2025 candidates need to fill in the details like their name, gender, caste, date of birth, mobile number, family income, academic details, etc. The candidate’s scanned sign and photo are also required to fill the registration form of NTSE 2025. 

NTSE Admit Card Date 2025

The admit card of NTSE 2025 is issued before 7 to 10 days of the exam date. NTSE Stage 1 admit card 2025 will be released in October 2024 on various dates depending on the state. Some states will release NTSE admit card 2025 via online mode on the official website. Students will be able to collect NTSE Stage 1 admit card 2025 from the school authorities too. All interested candidates must carry the admit card of NTSE 2025 at the exam centre. No candidates will be granted permission to enter the exam centre without the print of the hall ticket. Mizoram, Nagaland, Andaman & Nicobar, Meghalaya, all other states, and Union Territories took part in NTSE 2025 stage 1 in November 3 & 4, 2024, and West Bengal November 18 2025, Bihar, Kerala, and Karnataka took part on November 3 & 4, 2024 and Telangana and HP took part on November 3 & 4, 2024.

NTSE Answer Key Date 2025

The answer key of NTSE 2025 will be announced by the exam conducting body 5 to 7 days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates will be able to calculate their marks with the help of the NTSE 2025 answer keys. The exam conducting body will release the NTSE 2025 answer keys after the exam date. The result of NTSE 2025 will be announced after the issue of the final answer keys of NTSE 2025 on the official website of the exam conducting body. 

NTSE Exam Result Date 2025

The result of NTSE 2025 is expected to be issued at the official website of the exam conducting body. To download the result candidates have to provide their application number and date of birth. The result will include the marks scored by candidates in each subject, the exam qualifying status of the candidate, roll number, and name, etc. 

Many states provide the NTSE Result as a merit list, which contains the names of all candidates who were shortlisted. Others provide all participants’ NTSE results as well as a separate merit list. Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Punjab and some of the remaining states and UTs and for Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Kerala, and Karnataka, and Telangana and HP.

NTSE Selection Process & Rewards

 The stage-I exam is a state-level exam that is held in all Indian states and union territories, whereas the stage-II exam is a national-level exam that will be offered for students who complete stage-I. The Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) are the two examinations that comprise the NTSE exams (SAT). Additionally, students who clear both stage-I and stage-II will be eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded depending on students’ overall achievement in stages I and II.  

As previously stated, the NTSE scholarship is given to students who pass both stages of the exams at various levels of their studies. Apart from the monetary rewards, students also enjoy other benefits.

Every month, scholarships will be granted to the outstanding students who have been shortlisted after passing both phases. Only the top 1000 students have a chance to get this award, and NCERT provides the merit list. The scholarship is awarded to students at various levels of their education:
