OPSC exam will be conducted for posts such as ASO, Medical Officer, Forest Ranger, Lecturer, ACF, OAS, and ACF. Candidates have to clear all the stages of CSE under the OPSC Recruitment drive to secure their desired position in Odisha Public Service Commission. All the appearing candidates must clear three stages in one go. Aspirants cannot skip or jump any stage and proceed further with the OPSC recruitment. In such a case, the candidature of that candidate will be forfeited immediately.
The OPSC Exam Pattern is divided into three stages, including:
Stage 1: OPSC Prelims Exam
Stage 2: OPSC Main Exam
Stage 3: Interview
OPSC Prelims comprises two papers – General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2.

OPSC CSE Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. It is a compulsory exam, and those who clear this exam are eligible for the Main exam. The commission will fix the qualifying marks in the Preliminary exam. The marks secured in this exam will not be counted for ranking. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The candidate needs to select only one option out of four choices. If they mark more than one answer, it will be considered a wrong answer.
The Main Exam comprises compulsory papers and optional papers. There are 5 compulsory papers which include Odia Language, English, English Essay, General Studies I & II.

Candidates will be required to write an essay on a specific topic. The choice of subject will be given to them. The candidates will have to stick to the topic, write concisely, and arrange their ideas in an orderly way. Credit will be given for effective and exact expression.

The OPSC Main exam comprises five compulsory papers and four optional papers. The Mains exam will be of descriptive type. The details of these papers are mentioned below:

The Board will interview candidates who qualify in the Main exam constituted by the OPSC. The Personal Interview carries 250 marks.
