RBI conducts the prelims exam in online mode.
Since prelims are qualifying in nature, the marks of the prelims exam will not be counted in the merit list.
There are objective-type (MCQ) questions in the paper.
The prelims question paper consists of three sections that contain 100 questions in total.
The three sections are English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.
The time duration of the examination was 60 minutes, with each section for 20 minutes.
For each incorrect answer, there would be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
There would be no deduction for unanswered questions.
Except for the English Language, candidates can choose the medium of paper between Hindi and English language.
