RBI Assistant Recruitment 2023: The Reserve Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for 450 posts of “Assistant” in various offices of the Bank. Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases, i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). RBI issued an RBI Assistant recruitment notification on September 13, 2023, on its portal, opportunities.rbi.org.in. RBI Assistant application form submission was from September 13 to October 4, 2023. The RBI Assistant recruitment exam date has also been notified in the notification, i.e., the Preliminary test will be conducted on November 18 and 19, 2023October 21 and 23, 2023, whereas Mains will be organised on December 31, 2023. RBI will conduct the RBI Assistant Exam to recruit candidates for the Assistant to its various branches all over the country. As it is a national-level recruitment process, applications from all sections of India are invited. Candidates can apply online for this post after the RBI Assistant 2023 notification has been released by RBI. The exam is going to be conducted in three phases: Prelims, Mains and Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The cumulative score of all three phases will be used to make the merit list of candidates being selected for the post of RBI Assistant.

RBI Assistant Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: A candidate is required to be (a) a citizen of India or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. RBI Assistant Recruitment: Age Limit
A candidate must range between 20 and 28 years of age as on September 1, 2023, to be eligible for the RBI Assistant 2023 Exam. Age relaxation is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories. The age relaxation granted by the Government of India is mentioned in the table below:

The upper age limit will be relaxed as follows:

7. Candidates having work experience in the Reserve Bank of India
(i) At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.
(ii) A candidate belonging to the Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of Defence service.
(iii) Candidates applying for a post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.
RBI Assistant Recruitment: Salary Details
Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.20,700/- per month in the scale of Rs.20700 – 1200 (3) – 24300 – 1440 (4) – 30060 – 1920 (6) – 41580 – 2080 (2) – 45740 – 2370 (3) – 52850 – 2850 (1) – 55700 and other allowances, viz Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., admissible from time to time. At present, initial Monthly Gross Emoluments for Assistants (without House Rent Allowance) will be approximately Rs.47,849/-.

3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
The candidates provisionally selected from the main online examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT) as per RBI Assistant Recruitment 2023. The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the state concerned. Candidates not proficient in the official/local language would be disqualified as per the RBI Assistant recruitment notice.
RBI Assistant Exam Centre
The RBI Assistant is an online mode of examination and is conducted at various centres all over the country. Candidates are allotted centres according to the preference provided by them during the submission of the RBI Assistant application form. RBI exam-conducting body may change the centre without prior notice to the candidate due to the unavailability of seats in the preferred location in case of the unavailability of seat in the preferred location. Candidates do not have the authority to launch complaints for the same.
Candidates need to pay a certain requisite fee in order to apply online for RBI Assistant Recruitment 2017. Here are the details:

The candidates, as per RBI Assistant recruitment, need to pay the fees through online mode and the payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
How to Apply Online for RBI Assistant Recruitment?
Candidates can apply online only from September 13 to October 4, 2023,and no other mode of application will be accepted as per RBI Assistant recruitment notification.
RBI Assistant Application Form Submission Procedure:
Candidates may go to the RBI website as per RBI Assistant Recruitment, www.rbi.org.in and click on the option “Recruitment for the post of Assistant”, which will open a new screen.
To register for the application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter your Name, Contact details and Email ID. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he/she can save the data already entered by choosing the “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill out the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.
Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves, as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.
The Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband, etc., should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ buttons.
Candidates can proceed to upload Photos and Signatures as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading of Photographs and Signature.
Candidates can proceed to fill in other details of the Application Form.
Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before FINAL SUBMIT.
Modify details, if required, and click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded, and other details filled in by you are correct.
