Candidates selected for RBI Grade B will receive a basic pay of a Grade B Officer in RBI is ₹55,200/- p.m. Furthermore, the pay scale is ₹55200-2850 (9)-80850-EB-2850 (2)-86550-3300 (4)-99750 (16 years). Along with a monthly salary, candidates will get several perks and allowances. It includes Dearness, House Rent, Family, Travel and telephone allowances. The initial monthly gross emoluments are ₹83254/- (approx). The House Allowance of 15% of Basic Pay will be paid if the Bank does not provide accommodation.
Candidates must ensure they fulfil all the RBI Grade B eligibility criteria. If there is any discrepancy in the candidate’s eligibility, the candidate will be disqualified, and they will not be called for the interview.

Essential: A Master’s Degree in Economics/ Econometrics/ Quantitative Economics/ Mathematical Economics/ Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates) or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute.
Desirable: A Doctorate Degree in Economics, research or teaching experience in Economics, or publications in standard journals would be considered an additional qualification.
Candidates belonging to unreserved, i.e. General Category, who have already appeared Six times for Phase-I Examination for this post in the past, are not eligible to apply. No such restriction applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD if the posts are reserved for them. Even the employees of RBI (Staff Candidates) can appear for this exam. Allotment of the exam centre will be based on a ‘first-apply-first allot’ basis, so candidates can apply as soon as possible to get the exam centre of their choice. The Selection process for GR (DR) General, GR (DR) DEPR and GR (DR) DSIM includes written examinations and interviews. The written exam for GR (DR) General consists of 2 phases, and for GR (DR) DEPR and GR (DR) DSIM, the exams are conducted for 3 papers. Phase 1 will be a total of 200 marks. The examination will be conducted in multiple shifts depending upon the number of candidates. The time duration for Phase I is 2 hours. Candidates will be appearing in any one of the shifts depending upon the shift allotted by the board.

Candidates must secure minimum marks in Phase I to be selected for Phase II. The board will decide the minimum aggregate cutoff marks.

Based on the total aggregate marks scored in Phase 2 (Paper 1, 2 and 3), candidates will be shortlisted for the interview process. The total mark allotted for the interview process is 50.
