RPF Syllabus 2025: The RPF Syllabus for various posts, such as Constable and Sub Inspector (SI), will been released by the Ministry of Railways through an official announcement. It is critical to becoming familiar with the RPF Constable Exam Syllabus and RPF SI Exam Pattern in detail. As a result, all applicants who want to get the greatest possible score on the test must have the revised curriculum, and no topics must be skipped.

The RPF Exam Pattern is crucial since it aids applicants in making the most of their study plan and exam-taking methods. If candidates do not receive the exam pattern, there will be no study plan. All stages of the selection process, including the Computer-based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Physical Measurement Test, have their own test patterns (PMT).

All candidates belonging to the unreserved category must obtain at least 35% marks in the CBT; whereas those SC and ST categories are given a relaxation of 5% in the marks obtained.  Anyone who does not score the minimum passing marks as per the requirements will not be considered for the next round of selection. Since RPF releases these vacancies for both male and female candidates, this criterion is going to be the same for both types of candidates.

All candidates who have registered for this recruitment must score minimum passing marks in all selection rounds, including the CBT. The online test is carried out in many different languages, such as:

RPF Selection Process

Those who have registered for the RPF Recruitment will need to take part in each round of the selection process. Usually, RPF hires best-fit candidates by gauging their skills and performance based on the following selection rounds:

  • Phase-I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Phase-II: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test
  • Phase-III: Document Verification (DV)

If candidates are unable to satisfy the minimum passing marks in Phase-I, they will not be considered for the Phase II of the recruitment.

RPF Constable CBT Exam Pattern (Phase-I)

The Computer-based Test (CBT) is the first round of the selection process. Scoring minimum passing grades in the CBT is a must to proceed to the next round, i.e., Phase II. The question paper on CBT is usually prepared around three sections: General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The CBT carries a total of 120 questions, each carrying a single mark.

The time duration of the CBT is 1 hour and 30 minutes, i.e., candidates—under any circumstances—have to complete the test within 90 minutes. The aspirants who fail to score a minimum of 35% marks in the CBT will not be allowed to proceed further and shall be disqualified from the recruitment. Here are the detailed insights into the RPF CBT exam pattern. Check out which section carries the highest number of questions.

Test Number of Questions Marks Time
General Awareness 50 50

Arithmetic 35 35
General Intelligence & Reasoning 35 35
