RRB Group D Recruitment Exam 2025: Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs) has announced that the RRB Group D Exam 2025 will be conducted from August , 2025 (tentative) onwards in multiple shifts as mentioned in the notice released on June, 2025 (tentative). RRB has also notified that there will be no second-stage CBT to be conducted for CEN RRC (Level-1). 

The RRB Group D Recruitment Exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the various posts such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV and Helper/Assistant in various technical and other departments of Indian Railways. RRB Group D 2025: Important Dates

RRB Group D Exam 2025 for CBT 1 online exam will be held from August 2025 onwards in multiple phases. The exam date for RRB Group D Exam 2025 has been announced by the Railway Recruitment Board on June 2025 on its official website. RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are seeking RRB Group D jobs through RRB GROUP D Recruitments are suggested to check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form for the same. RRB has already announced the eligibility criteria for various posts offered through RRB GROUP D Recruitments. Eligibility criteria for almost all offered RRB Group D jobs are the same. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for RRB Group D level 1 jobs below:

Educational Qualification: The candidates must be passed class 10th exam or its equivalent exam from a recognized board. Or the applicants should be passed ITI from the institution recognised by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) or its equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT. 

Nationality: The candidates who are citizen of any of the following country are eligible to apply:

  1. A citizen of India, or
  2. A subject of Nepal, or
  3. A subject of Bhutan, or
  4. A Tibetan refugee who has been permanently settled in India from and before January 1, 1962
  5. Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, East African countries of Uganda, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit: The candidates should be aged between 18 and 33 at the time of application. 

Age Relaxation: Candidates belonging to reserved category are provided with relaxation in the upper age limit. As per RRB, age relaxation criteria for RRB GROUP D Recruitments are mentioned below in the table:

RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam – Registration

Application process for the RRB GROUP D Recruitments 2020 has already been closed. Candidates had to apply from March 12 to April 12, 2019. The candidates who wanted to apply for multiple railway zones had to submit the separate application form. Application form for RRB GROUP D Recruitments can be filled and submitted only through online mode on the official website of respective RRB region. However, the candidates are allowed to pay the application fee using offline mode. In order to apply for RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam, the candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Visit the official website of respective RRB zone, we have provided the link of official website of different RRB regions. 
  2. Now, find the official Railway Group D Recruitment Notification on the homepage and click on the same.
  3. After clicking on the notification, a new page will open in the separate window with the option to fill the application form.
  4. The candidates have to read the instruction carefully and then proceed to fill the application form. 
  5. The candidates will have to firstly register themselves in order to fill the application form of RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam. Those candidates who have already registered earlier will not be required to register. 
  6. The candidates will have to complete the registration process by providing the required details asked there.
  7. System will send an OTP to the applicants’ registered mobile number which must be verified under the given time period.
  8. The candidates will be now able to start filling the have to now fill the application form by providing the details such as personal details, educational qualification detail, contact detail etc.
  9. Now, the applicants will be required to upload scanned copies of the required images such as photograph and signature.
  10. The candidates will be now required to pay the application fee using the available mode. The candidates will have both options to pay using online and offline mode. Online mode payment can be made using credit card, debit card, internet banking etc while the offline mode payment can be made using demand draft. 
  11. After payment, the application will have to review the application form and submit the application form of RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam.

After submission of the application form, the candidates should download the submitted application form and take a print out of the same. It carries the application form number and other details which might be used in future.

RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam Admit Card

Candidates who have filled the application form for RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam successfully will be able to download the admit card of the exam. The candidates can download the admit card in online mode on the official website of the concerned RRB. Links for all regional RRBs have been provided above. The exact date to release RRB Group D Admit Card has not been notified yet, however, it is expected that the candidates can download the admit card 10 to 15 days before the exam. RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam Pattern

RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam has a total of two phases which are written test and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates who will qualify in the written test will only qualify for the PET. The candidates who are going to appear for the written test must be aware of the exam pattern so that they can have an idea about the exam. The total duration of the Computer based written test would be 90 minutes. Only objective type questions will be asked in the exam. For each correct answer 1 mark is distributed. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers, 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt. RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam Centres

RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam will be conducted in online mode at various exam centres throughout the country. Candidates will have no option to choose the exam centres as per their choice while filling the application form as exam conducting regional boards will be responsible to organize RRM Group D exam in their area only. For example, if I have applied for a Central (Allahabad) zone vacancy then my exam will be conducted in the same zone only. The details of the exam centre will be mentioned on the admit card of the exam. Candidates who have filled the application form can download their exam admit card 10 to 15 days before the exam. Admit card of the exam will be carrying important details related to the exam centre such as the timing of the exam, exam city, centre address, etc. Candidates will have no authority to request for changing the allotted exam centre. 

RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam Answer Key

After successfully conducting the RRB GROUP D Recruitment Exam, the concerned RRB board will release the RRB Group D Answer Key of the exam. The answer key will be carrying the right answer of the questions asked in the exam for all sets of paper.
