RRC Group D Selection Process 2023

The selection procedure for RRB Group D positions is divided into three stages, which are as follows:

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Stage 3: Document Verification (DV) and Medical Test

RRC Group D Selection Stage 1: CBT

The Computer Based Examination is the first stage of the RRB Group D Selection Process. The total allocated marks for this test is 100 and the duration is 90 minutes. However, candidates with disabilities will have 120 minutes to complete the exam.

How To Practice Questions on the RRC Group D Exam?

Know the steps to practice questions on the RRC Group D exam below:

1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
3rd Step: Click on the menu bar “Getting a Government Job”.
4th Step: Select the Goal “Railways” from the Dropdown and click on “Next”.
5th Step: Search and Select “RRC Group D” on the search bar and click on “Next”.
6th Step: Select the preferred language and click on “Done”.
7th Step: Click “Practice” from the Header Section.
8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section.
9th Step: Click on any RRC Group D subjects.
10th Step: Scroll down to click on the chapters from the selected subject to begin the practice.

RRC Group D Selection Stage 2: PET

The Physical Efficiency Test is the second stage of the RRC Group D Selection Process. Candidates will be invited for PET based on their performance in the CBT 1 test. This test is used to assess applicants’ physical fitness. This exam will be conducted for both male and female applicants. The criterion for PET is as follows:

Male candidates	Female candidates
– Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down. – Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.	– Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down. – Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

RRC Group D Selection Stage 3: DV & Medical Test

Candidates who pass the above-mentioned stages of the RRC Group D test will be eligible to take up the last test of the RRB Group D selection process: Document Verification & Medical Test.

Applicants must bring the following papers to the RRB Group D Document Verification round:

RRC Group D Medical Test

Following the document verification step of the RRB Group D Selection Process, the selected applicant will be appointed for the position of RRB Group D. The RRB Group D Medical Test Criteria are listed below:

A-2	Distant vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (No fogging test). Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses, and must pass tests for color vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, etc.
A-3	Distant vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 2D). Near vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses and must pass the test for color vision, binocular vision, night vision, myopic vision, etc.
B-1	Distant vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D). Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass the test for color vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, etc.
B-2	Distant vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D). Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass the test for binocular vision, etc.
C-1	Distant vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.
C-2	Distant vision: 6/12 with or without glasses. Near vision: Sn. 0.6 combined with or without glasses where reading or close work is required.
