SBI CBO Selection Process 2023

The SBI CBO selection process consists of the following two stages:

• Online Exam
• Interview

The online exam consists of two parts. Part A is Objective in nature and Part B is Descriptive. Candidates qualifying in the online exam will be called for the Interview.

The SBI CBO Interview will be conducted for 100 marks. Candidates will have to score the minimum qualifying marks in the Interview to be considered for final selection. The final selection is based on the Interview score (out of 100). A state- and category-wise merit list will be drawn based on the Interview score. The final merit list will be prepared in descending order based on the scores obtained in the interview only.

Age Limit

The lower age limit and upper age limit of candidates applying for SBI CBO 2023 are 21 years and 30 years as on October 31, 2023, respectively.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Graduation degree from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.

Experience Criteria

A minimum of 2 years of experience as of October 31, 2023, is needed as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Rural Regional Bank as listed in the second schedule of RBI.

Local Language

Candidates must have studied the local language as one of the subjects in Class 10 or 12. Candidates will have to produce the 10th & 12th Standard mark sheet/certificate as evidence that the candidate has studied the specific local language of the applied State.

• 2nd Step: Click on the ‘Careers’ link present on the top right-hand side of the page.
• 3rd Step: A new page will open. Click on ‘Join SBI’.
• 4th Step: Click on the link ‘RECRUITMENT OF CIRCLE BASED OFFICERS’.
• 5th Step: Now click on the ‘Apply Online’ link. A new page will open.
• 6th Step: Click on the button ‘Click Here For New Registration’ (for new registration).
• 7th Step: An instruction page will appear on-screen. Click on ‘Continue’. Enter your ‘Name’, ‘Mother’s Name’, ‘Email ID’, ‘Mobile Number’ and ‘Security Code’.
• 8th Step: Click on the ‘Register’ link. An instruction page will appear, go through it and click on ‘OK’. A ‘Registration Number’ and ‘Password’ will be generated and will be sent to the registered Mobile Number and Email.
• 9th Step: Now select the ‘Post Name’, ‘Grade’ and ‘Category’ and click on the ‘Save & Next’ button.
• 10th Step: Enter your Personal details, Contact details, Name of State, and other details. Then click on the ‘Save & Next’ button.

The SBI CBO salary for selected candidates will be on the scale of Junior Management Grade Scale 1 (JMGS-1). The initial basic pay of SBI CBO is Rs.36,000 plus two advance increments for candidates with work experience of two years or more in the officer cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank. Furthermore, the pay scale for SBI CBO is Rs. 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840.
