Every year, the State Bank of India (SBI) releases the recruitment notification for the SBI Probationary Officer post, in its portal, viz. sbi.co.in. The notification also has the syllabus of the SBI PO exam, which includes a detailed topic-wise analysis of sections based on which the question paper is devised officially.
The SBI PO syllabus is released in a single PDF for all stages, such as the Prelims exam (Stage 1), Main (Stage 2), and Interview (final round). While the Prelims include three sections, the SBI PO mains exam includes four sections. Furthermore, the time duration of both of these exams differs.

The Descriptive test is 30 minutes long and carries 50 marks. The descriptive test has two sections: Essay Writing and Letter Writing. Usually, official or business letters are asked in the test and carry 25 marks. Essay topics may be related to the economy, society, culture, banking reform, or politics. The essay writing will carry 25 marks.
SBI PO 2025 syllabus is vast, and candidates must be smart enough to cover the important topics first. Candidates who clear the main exam will be called for the personal interview round.
