Before you can create a proper South Indian Bank PO Preparation Plan, you must first understand the South Indian Bank PO exam pattern and syllabus. As previously stated, the SIB PO exam is divided into two parts: the online test and the GD & PI.

The Online objective test is divided into four sections, which are as follows:

  1. English Language
  2. Reasoning and Computer Aptitude
  3. Data Analysis and Interpretation
  4. General / Economy / Banking Awareness

Let’s take a look at the South Indian Bank PO Preparation for all of these sections:

Preparation for South Indian Bank PO: English Language

Any bank PO position necessitates a solid understanding of English grammar and comprehension, as well as a broad vocabulary. So, prepare for the English Language section as follows:

  • Brush up on English Grammar rules with a standard English Grammar book, such as Wren and Martin.
  • Go through the examples for each topic. This will aid your memorisation of the various rules.
  • Practice questions related to the application of grammatical knowledge like fill in the blanks and error spotting are very helpful in improving your grammar.
  • On a regular basis, please read English newspapers and books.
  • Learn the definitions and applications of new words you come across. You can also use Word Power Made Simple for this purpose.
  • Practice story-based and fact-based comprehension tests.
Preparation for South Indian Bank PO: Reasoning

A PO’s role and responsibilities necessitate a high level of reasoning and analytical abilities. You should also be good at making decisions. This section puts these abilities to the test. Remember that practise can help you improve your analytical and reasoning skills.

  • Decide whether the topics require only common sense first. Topics such as classification, analogy, blood relations, and so on are highly rated. However, you must improve your speed in order to answer questions from these topics.
  • Understand the theory behind the concepts for more difficult topics such as Syllogism, Statement-based Questions, and Seating Arrangements.
  • Examine the example problems and comprehend the steps required to answer the questions.
  • Experiment with questions of increasing difficulty. Consider thinking critically and visualising the problems. Learn how to use diagrams, Venn diagrams, and other methods to accomplish this.
  • Spend more time on this section because some topics may be difficult for you.
Preparation for South Indian Bank PO: Computer Aptitude

Computer knowledge is required for bank PO jobs. However, only a basic understanding of software and hardware is required. This section should be read and revised on a regular basis. However, you do not have to devote hours to this section. If you have used computer systems, you would be familiar with the majority of the information. Spending half an hour per day would be sufficient.

  • Solve as many practise questions as you can for each topic. Also, answer questions about data analysis and interpretation.
  • Do not attempt to learn all of the various shortcuts and tricks right away.
Preparation for South Indian Bank PO: General / Economic / Banking Awareness

This section necessitates a substantial amount of reading and memorisation. The only way to complete this section is to study on a consistent basis.
