  • The Tier-3 exam will be of descriptive type (pen and paper mode).
  • This will consist of one letter writing or application writing question, which will comprise 100 marks.
  • The total duration of the paper will be 1 hour and 1 hour 20 minutes for candidates using a scribe.

CGL Tier 4 Exam Pattern

  • The Tier-4 exam will be a Data Entry Skill Test or Computer Proficiency Test.
  • Only candidates who have applied for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax) are required to attend this test.
  • The skill test will be conducted for a passage of about 2,000 key depressions for a duration of 15 minutes.
