SSC GD Constable GK Topics and Weightage

The SSC GD Constable GK section is part of the SSC GD Constable Tier I exam. The GK section consists of equal weightage like other sections. The GK section carries a ¼th weightage out of a total of 200 marks. The exam is conducted online and is a computer-based exam (CBT). Exam Pattern (Revised):

  • The exam can be taken in both English and Hindi according to candidates’ choice, except the English Language section which has to be taken in English.
  • For every right attempt, candidates are awarded 1 mark.
  • For every wrong attempt, a negative marking of 0.50 mark will be deducted.
  • Candidates need to be aware that there is no negative marking for unattempted questions.
  • The total time duration for the SSC GD Constable Tier I exam is 60 minutes or 1 hour.
  • Candidates who secure the minimum cut-off marks will be eligible for PET/PST exam after this stage.
