  • 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
  • 2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
  • 3rd Step: Click on the menu bar “Getting a Government Job”.
  • 4th Step: Select the Goal “SSC” from the dropdown and click on “Next”.
  • 5th Step: Search and select “SSC CGL Tier-I” on the search bar and click on “Next”.
  • 6th Step: Select the preferred language and click on “Done”.
  • 7th Step: Click “Practice” from the header section.
  • 8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section.

How To Apply Online for SSC CGL 2025 Exam?

Candidates must have a valid and active email id. SSC will use this detail to send the registration number, password, exam date, venue, etc. The application procedure for the CGL exam is given below:

  • 1st Step: Visit the SSC official website, ssc.nic.in.
  • 2nd Step: Click on the New User/Register Now link.

  • 3rd Step: The application form for registration will open.
  • 4th Step: Fill in all the mandatory information like name, father’s name, DOB, gender, aadhar number, category, permanent address, etc.
  • 5th Step: To send the online registration form for SSC CGL 2025, click the save button.

Note: After submitting part 1 of the application form, a registration ID will be generated to complete the application form.

  • 5th Step: Candidates must upload their photograph and signature.
  • 6th Step: Login with the registration ID, and password to complete the application process.
  • 7th Step: Fill out the requested details.
  • 8th Step: Preview the entire application of SSC CGL 2025.

    • In the online method (Credit Cards/ Debit card/ Net Banking), the candidate will directly be stepped up to the second phase, ‘Uploading Scanned Photo and Signature’.
    • In the offline method, a Challan form will be generated. Aspirants should take the printed Challan to any SBI Branch for Payment of application fees. They must note down the Transaction Number given by the bank.
  • 11th Step: Take a printout of the filled dorm for future reference.

  • No fee is required to be paid by female, ST, SC, PwD, and Ex-servicemen applicants.
  • To pay the application fee in cash, applicants should take a hard copy of the challan generated online after completing the part 1 registration.
  • After paying the application fee in any branch of SBI, continue with the part 2 registration.
  • Aspirants who want to pay the online application fee may go directly to part 2 registration after completing the part 1 registration process.

Documents Specifications for SSC CGL Online Form 2025

Before beginning the SSC CGL registration process, applicants should have the photographs and signatures on hand. Check out the instructions for uploading photographs and signatures:

  • The digital size of the file of the photographs must be more than 20 kb and less than 50 kb with a resolution of 3.5 cm-pixel width and 4.5 cm-pixel height.
  • The signature must be uploaded in jpg format. The digital size of the signature file must be more than 10 kb and less than 20 kb with a resolution of 4.0 cm-pixel width by 2.0 cm-pixel height.
  • If aspirants find that he/she has made some mistakes while entering details in the registration part, they have the option of editing the registration part.
  • The aspirants should log in to the default page and use the option ‘View/Edit Registration’ by filling in the date of birth, registration number, and password.

SSC CGL Application Correction Window

The SSC starts the application correction window online on its official website. Candidates who want to make changes/modifications to their application form can visit the official website. Moreover, they need to log in using their credentials, such as the ‘Registration ID’ and ‘Password’, to correct or modify their application forms.

Check some important instructions regarding the correction window below:

  • During the correction window, candidates can correct/modify their application parameters. Moreover, they can also make changes to the one-time registration data.
  • Only those candidates who have completed their applications and paid the requisite fee within the specified period can make corrections to the form.
  • If a candidate also makes a mistake in his/her updated application, then they can modify the application form only once.
  • Candidates’ latest modified applications will be treated as valid ones, and the previously submitted application(s) will be cancelled.
  • The correction charges are INR 200 for the first time and INR 500 for the second time. Furthermore, correction charges apply to all candidates irrespective of gender and category.
  • Candidates can pay the correction charges online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards. There is no facility for payment through an offline Challan.
  • The correction charges are neither refundable nor adjustable against any other examination.
  • Candidates must check if they have filled correct details in each field of the form or not before submitting the corrected application. After the correction window is over, SSC will not allow any change or modification under any circumstances.
