Exam Brief

Tamil Nadu State Board School Examinations (Sec.) and Board of Higher Secondary Examinations is the world’s largest school board, with great appeal in Commonwealth countries and other developing and developed nations. It is often known as the Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examinations. It emphasises successful learning in accordance with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF 2005) standards by making learning more learner-centred.

The board allows pupils with thedom and autonomy to develop their knowledge, potential talent, and physical and mental abilities to their full potential. It is also responsible for conducting Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations, publishing results, etc.

Exam Summary

To make examinations more flexible and integrated into classroom life, the Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examinations implemented Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). CCE promotes students’ scholastic and co-scholastic knowledge while also reducing the fear and stress that comes during final exams. Students are assessed on their ability to think critically, as well as application-oriented and problem-solving problems.

Tamil Nadu Board Class 9 follows the curriculum, syllabus and textbooks as per the recommendations of National Curriculum Framework 2005 and National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education-2009.

Student Counselling

Present education is more about practical application than rote learning. This helps in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The education system is changed from teacher-centred education to student-centred learning to provide numerous opportunities to explore knowledge. Students should make the best use of it. Still, some students are stressed about their studies. Here are a few tips to overcome it.

  1. Know the wise use of time for all the activities to explore knowledge in all fields.
  2. Each person is unique and blessed with different talents and skills. Explore it rather than compare it with others.
  3. Put continuous smart efforts to achieve the goal without getting distracted by small failures.
  4. Always have a short term goal and long term goals.
  5. To be active throughout the day, spend some valuable time on interesting activities or yoga, meditation, sports, etc.
  6. Keep building the foundation for your interesting career opportunities at this stage only.
  7. Exams are an important element of a student’s education since exams measure their scholastic abilities. However, have the option of choosing your career field at a later stage. As a result, gather all of the knowledge you can in your chosen field.
  8. It is critical to maintaining concentration throughout classes and studies from the start. Stress and exam anxiety might result from last-minute studying.
  9. There is no shortcut to success. So, study and revise all the subjects every day. Spend extra time on difficult subjects.
  10. When you are learning, keep away all the distracting objects and sit in a calm place with bright light.
