TN TRB Polytechnic Lecturer Eligibility
Here are the eligibility criteria regarding the TN TRB Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment:
Age Limit: Candidate’s Age should not be more than 57 Years.
Educational Qualification:
For Lecturer in Engineering subjects
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology/Architecture with not less than sixty per cent of marks or equivalent
For Lecturer in Non-Engineering subjects
First-class Master’s degree in the appropriate branch of study
If a candidate has additional educational qualifications than stated above, then the board will award some marks to such candidates. These marks will be awarded after the CBT has been conducted.
TN TRB Recruitment: Application Process
Candidates can apply from the official website of TN TRB i.e. trb.tn.nic.in. The application process is in online mode, no other modes of application are accepted by the board. First, the candidate has to register by providing basic information including the email ID and mobile number. Then the candidates will be able to fill the application form where they need to provide personal information, educational details, and upload their photo and signature. After filling all the details, the candidate has to pay the examination fees in order to successfully apply.
The selection of the candidates will be done in two stages:
Computer-Based Test
Awarding Weightage Marks during Certificate Verification
Computer-Based Test: First the candidates will be called for the Computer Based Test. The details regarding the exam dates, time and the exam centre will be mentioned in the hall ticket. The board might conduct the exam in multiple shifts if the number of candidates appearing for the exam is more. After the CBT, the candidates who have qualified will be required to appear for the Certificate Verification.
Certificate Verification: Based on the marks scored in the CBT, the board will prepare the list of candidates for certificate verification in the ratio of 1:2. If the candidate fulfils the below criteria then he/she will be awarded some marks that are mentioned below.

For teaching experience of 2 years and above, on a Full-Time basis in Govt/ Aided/ self-financing polytechnics or Engineering colleges.
OR
For teaching experience of 4 years and above, on a part-time basis in Govt/ Aided/ self-financing polytechnics or Engineering colleges.
2 Marks/ 2 Marks
Additional qualifications:
a) M.E / M.Tech., in the appropriate Branch of study
b) M.Phil., in the appropriate Branch of study
3 Marks/ 3 Marks
For Ph.D. in the appropriate branch of study
5 Marks / 5 Marks
After the certificate verification is over, the candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the CBT and the marks obtained after the certificate verification.
