TN TRB Recruitment: Reservation

Reservation is provided on two way basis: Horizontal and Vertical. If the candidate is falling in both the categories (as stated in the horizontal and vertical reservation) then he/she will be getting the respective benefits from horizontal as well as vertical reservation.

Under Communal Reservation: There is furthermore reservation for different categories of candidates.

• Scheduled Castes – 18%
• Scheduled Tribes – 1%
• Backward Classes – 26.50%
• Backward Class Muslims – 3.50%
• Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities – 20%

The computer-based exam consists of a single paper of 3 hours:

The questions in the main subject will be asked from the subject which the candidate has applied.

All the questions will be of Objective type that i.e. Multiple Choice Questions.

TRB Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment: Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidates will be done in two stages:

1. Computer-Based Test
2. Awarding Weightage Marks during Certificate Verification

Computer-Based Test: First the candidates will be called for the Computer Based Test. The details regarding the exam dates, time and the exam centre will be mentioned in the hall ticket. The board might conduct the exam in multiple shifts if the number of candidates appearing for the exam is more. After the CBT, the candidates who have qualified will be required to appear for the Certificate Verification.

Certificate Verification: Based on the marks scored in the CBT, the board will prepare the list of candidates for certificate verification in the ratio of 1:2. If the candidate fulfils the below criteria then he/she will be awarded some marks that are mentioned below.

After the certificate verification is over, the candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the CBT and the marks obtained after the certificate verification.
