February 27, 2024UPSC CAPF Selection Process 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) prescribes the selection process for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants (AC) in its official notification. UPSC follows a three-stage selection procedure to select candidates for Central Armed Police Forces. Candidates who clear the written exam are called for PST/PET and MST. Furthermore, applicants who pass the 2nd stage qualify for interviews. UPSC prepares the final merit list on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the written exam and personality test. The Commission conducts a written exam as the first stage of selection. The written exam comprises two papers, namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates can check the UPSC CAPF exam pattern below:

Aspirants who clear PET qualify for Medical Standards Tests. In the medical test, the officials test the candidates on various medical parameters to decide whether a candidate is fit’ or ‘unfit’.
The third and last stage of the CAPF AC selection process is an Interview/Personality Test. Candidates who cleared PST/PET and are declared medically fit in MST are called for the personality test. Furthermore, the marks for the third stage are 150 marks.
