UPTET Salary 2025: UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is a single-tier exam which means candidates will be selected for the post of teacher in Primary and Upper Primary Level schools based on their performance in the written exam. The general pay scale for an Assistant Teacher in Uttar Pradesh during their training period is INR 7300. After the qualified candidates complete their training, they will be promoted to the permanent teacher’s wage scale. However, the UPTET Salary for permanent Primary and Upper Primary teachers ranges between INR 9300 to INR 34800 per month (without the new 7th Pay Commission increment).

• The UP government maintains the salary structure established by the 7th Pay Commission, which recommends pay increments for teachers. As a result, a UPTET teacher’s compensation is revised every year with an additional increment.
• The increment is available twice a year, in July and January, and candidates can pick either of these periods.
• Because of the house-rent allowance, the in-hand salary varies from rural to urban.

1. House Rent Allowance (HRA) – depending upon the location of posting. The HRA is lowest in rural areas. It is 20 per cent of the Basic Pay for other cities and 30 per cent of the Basic pay for Metropolitan cities.
