The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the UPSC CDS (1) exam on April 16, 2023. The UPSC CDS selection process involves two phases, i.e., a written exam and SSB interviews. Furthermore, the written exam is conducted for 300 marks. The CDS exam consists of three papers: English, General Knowledge (GK), and Elementary Mathematics.
The GK paper contains questions on General Studies (GS) subjects like History, Polity, Geography, Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Current Affairs. Over time, the weightage of GS subjects and current affairs keeps changing. In the UPSC CDS (1) 2023 exam, 27 questions are asked on current affairs.
