The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) conducts the exam to recruit eligible candidates for the Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) post. The LIC ADO 2023 Notification was released on January 20, 2023. This recruitment is being conducted to fill a total of 9394 vacancies. LIC ADO is majorly a sales supervision job. The responsibilities of an ADO are:

• Screen and recruit LIC on-field agents
• Give proper training to the recruited agents
• Assign target quotas to LIC agents and review their performance (monthly, bi-annually/annually)
• Motivate LIC agents to sell a maximum number of insurances.
• See the overall sales both in rural and urban areas.

Note: As the job of an ADO, regular movement or travelling will be an inclusive part of the work, so candidates must be comfortable for such occasions. 

Salary Structure

LIC ADO Added Allowances

• CCA or City Compensatory Allowance: LIC ADOs are given CCA according to the city of their posting; it can range anywhere from 0-4%.
• Dearness Allowance: Under the CPI (Consumer Price Index), the DA for ADO is adjusted every quarter. The LIC AAO salary forms CPI 40% of the Basic Pay.
• House Rent Allowance: Depending on the job location of LIC ADO, the HRA can range from 7 to 9% of the Basic Pay.

The only eligibility criteria for appearing in the LIC ADO Mains exam is passing the Prelims exam. However, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to appear for the LIC ADO Prelims as well as the Mains exam.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university by the Government of India.

Work Experience Requirement for LIC ADO
