SBI Clerk Books 2025: List of Best Books for SBI Clerk
October 25, 2024NRA (National Recruitment Agency) is a newly established national-level multi-agency body. It has introduced the Common Eligibility Test (CET) to replace Tier 1 or Paper 1 or Preliminary exams in multiple central government agencies for screening Group B and C positions, such as non-technical and non-gazetted positions. CET is conducted twice a year. Candidates only need to attend a single examination for non-technical and non-gazetted positions offered by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), and Indian Railways.
The Union Cabinet chaired by the honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi has set up the NRA to conduct CET. NRA will be constituted of members selected from the recruiting bodies such as IBPS, RRB, SSC, and some other members from Central Level Ministries such as Finance and Railway Ministries. The Union Cabinet expects the NRA to serve as a strong technical foundation and an ideal option for assisting Central Government Recruitment agencies in all sectors.
The major scope of NRA CET is to minimise the total time taken in the recruitment process for various government jobs. Now candidates need to attend only one examination for different departments in the central government. NRA CET will drastically reduce the total time and the overall cost of recruitment.
