SBI Clerk Mains Educational Qualification

The essential academic qualifications for SBI Clerk are as follows:

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Candidates having an integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate are also eligible for the post. 
  • Candidates who are appearing for the final year/ semester examination of their graduation may also apply for the post. However, if provisionally selected, they must produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before the date provided by SBI.

Note: The date of passing the eligibility examination should be the date present on the mark sheet/certificate or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute.

The candidates applying for vacancies in a particular State/UT should be proficient in the specified opted local language of that State/UT/Special area. They must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the specified local language of that State/UT/Special area.

The State Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales) recruitment process in the Clerical Cadre. It is important to note that the bank starts the SBI Clerk Mains application process in online mode only. Therefore, candidates have to apply online for SBI Clerk recruitment from the official website, i.e., sbi.co.in/careers.

Candidates can apply for vacancies only in one State/UT. Candidates applying for a particular State/ UT should be proficient in the specified opted local language of that State/ UT. 

Therefore, the bank conducts a language proficiency test before joining. However, candidates who have studied the specified opted local language in Class 10 or 12 do not require to take the language proficiency test.

SBI Clerk Mains Application Fee 

After completing the SBI Clerk registration, candidates need to pay the application fee online to complete the application process. Without paying the fee, the officials consider the application form incomplete and reject the same. Therefore, candidates must pay the application fee to complete their registrations. 

Furthermore, candidates can pay the requisite application fee via any online mode. For example, they can use a debit card/credit card or internet banking to pay the requisite fee. The following are the application fee to register for the SBI Clerk recruitment process:

  • Visit the official careers website of the SBI, i.e., sbi.co.in/careers.
  • Hover on the JOIN SBI tab and click on the ‘Current Openings’ link.
  • Look for the Recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales) section and click on it.
