1) Louis Braille: He became blind after mistakenly stabbing himself with the awl of his father. He had great achievements as he became the inventor of Braille writing.
2) Helen Adams Keller: She was an American author, activist and lecturer. She was not born blind. Later she was diagnosed with an illness that made her blind. Afterwards she became a world-famous speaker and author.

3) Harriet Tubman: She was a slave during her youth until she escaped. When she reached Canada she did not stay to enjoy her freedom. She decided to save many black slaves and during this, she became a victim of vision impairment. Despite that, she kept fighting for the freedom of her people.
4) Homer: He was also said to have been born blind. But eventually, he became the author of the epic poems the Iliad and the Odyssey.
