A handloom is a machine that helps to convert yarn into fabrics, this process is called weaving. A loom weaving is done with hands, that's why it is called handloom. Nowadays weaving machines can also be run by electricity. These are called power looms.

Ginning is the process in which seeds are separated from fibres. It is mostly done to remove cotton fibres before sending it for spinning into yarn. Traditionally it is done with a steel comb to remove seeds but now machines known as roller gin is used. It is the very first step of cotton processing and improves the quality of fibre.
