Animal cells are typical eukaryotic cells, enclosed by a plasma membrane and possess a membrane-bound nucleus and other cell organelles, which are well-defined and well-developed. The cell wall is absent in animal cells. They have many small vacuoles and centrioles are present near the nucleus.

Plant cells are the basic unit of life in organisms of the kingdom Plantae. They are eukaryotic cells with a true nucleus and have specialized structures or organelle called chloroplast that carries out photosynthesis to produce glucose. The plant cells consist of a rigid cell wall made up of cellulose. They have a big vacuole, and they do not have centrioles.
