Humans depend on forests directly and indirectly. Direct advantages include forest and forest products. In an indirect way, forest protects the soil from being eroded and reduces the effect of global warming.

Deforestation leads to the loss of plant and animal species and creates an impact on human lives. Therefore, it is important to conserve forest resources. Measures to conserve forest resources include:

Afforestation and discouraging deforestation.

Establishment of more organisations like WWF and Green Peace that protect biodiversity.

Establishment of more national parks, sanctuaries, and biosphere reserves.

Discouraging hunting and poaching and abiding by the laws made by the government.

Spreading awareness about the importance of biodiversity.

The development projects should not be at the cost of harming biodiversity.
