Chlorophyll is a green-coloured photosynthetic pigment present in the chloroplast of the leaves. It absorbs solar energy and uses it for the synthesis of carbohydrates with the help of carbon dioxide and water.

2-(i)

Rhizobium is a symbiotic bacterium that is present in the root nodules of leguminous plants that help to absorb atmospheric nitrogen. Since these organisms help in fixing nitrogen for the leguminous plants, they are also known as nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

3-(v)

Amarbel is the common name for Cuscuta, which is an example of a parasitic plant. It does not have chlorophyll pigment for photosynthesis. It takes readymade food from the plant on which it is growing.

4-(ii)

Animals cannot make their own food, and thus they take food prepared by plants. Animals are directly or indirectly dependent on the autotrophs for their nutrition, and so they are called heterotrophs.

5-(iii)

The Pitcher plant is an example of an insectivorous plant. They are partially autotroph and partially heterotroph, as they photosynthesise using their green leaves. Insects consumed by the plants help in acquiring adequate amounts of nitrogen for the plant.
