Draw AB ¯ , take a point C on it and draw a perpendicular CD ¯ on AB ¯ using a set -square and a ruler. How many such lines can be drawn?

Step 1 : Draw line AB . Mark a point C on the line. Step 2 : Put ruler on the line such that line is above the ruler. Step 3 : Place set square on top of the scale. Step 4 : Move the set square so that its edge is at point C . Step 5 : Draw a line along the set -square and mark a point D on the line. Hence, CD is perpendicular to the line segment AB . We can draw infinitely many lines from one given point to the line.
