He is a member of the Union Executive, whose provisions are dealt with in Article $52 - 78$ , which includes articles relating to the President (Article $52 - 62$ ). How is President elected:
For the Indian President, there is no direct election. He is elected by an electoral college. The electoral college for presidential elections is made up of members who have been elected by:
Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha
Legislative Assemblies of the states
Legislative Assemblies of the Union Territories of Delhi and Puducherry
Executive Powers of President:
Every executive move performed by the Indian government will be in his name.
