Match the organism with the type of nervous system found in them. Neurons Human Human being has a well-developed nervous system. Neurons are the basic unit of nervous system which show chemical and electrical synapse to transmit the impulse from one neuron to other and throughout the body. Ladder type Flatworms They have primitive type of CNS on the ventral side of the body. There are cerebral ganglia, ventral nerve cords and lateral commissures. This gives a ladder-shape. Ganglion Earthworm Nerve ganglia are found in Earthworms. They have an anterior nerve ring which acts like the head. The ventral nerve cord, and peripheral nerves are also present. Impulses from the earthworm's sensory cells are transmitted by the peripheral nerves to certain parts of the body and proper responsive movements are coordinated. Nerve net Hydra These members have a diffused nervous system. It consists of the sensory cells and the nerve cells along with their fibres. The nerve cells are scattered or distributed throughout the body and inter-connected to each other by synapses between their fibres to form the nerve net.
