Construct a genetic diagram to predict the ratio of phenotypes in the F 2 generation of a cross between a homozygous brown rabbit and a white rabbit.

In coat colour of a rabbit is determined by two alleles B and b. The allele for brown coat colour is B which is dominant over white coat (b). When a cross between a homozygous brown rabbit (BB) and a white rabbit (bb), the resultant offspring are heterozygous brown rabbits (Bb). It is the F 1 generation. When F 1 generation, i.e., heterozygous brown rabbits are crossed, the resultant offspring are F 2 generation. The genetic diagram is shown below: The phenotypic ratio of F 2 generation is 3 :1. 3 represents brown coloured rabbits and 1 white coloured (homozygous recessive). The genotypic ratio is 1 : 2 : 1.
