Find the area of the shaded portion in ${\mathrm{m}}^2$.

Every page has a blank margin $2.5 \mathrm{c}\mathrm{m}$ deep along each short side and $2 \mathrm{c}\mathrm{m}$ deep each long side. If the total area available for printing is $k c{m}^2$, then find the value of $k$.

A garden is $24 \mathrm{m}$ long and $14 \mathrm{m}$ wide. There is a path $1 \mathrm{m}$ wide outside the garden along its sides. If the path is to be constructed with square marble tiles $20 \mathrm{c}\mathrm{m}\times 20 \mathrm{c}\mathrm{m}$, find the number of tiles required to cover the path.
