ii) Art: Humans are fond of arts. From the Pre-historic period, art has become an important source of History. From the cave paintings, we get to know about the lifestyle of early humans.

iii) Coins: Coins are one of the most valuable sources of information. It describes the reigning periods of kings, the economy of the kingdom, the periphery of a king's empire, and trading with other regions. It also tells the art and religion of earlier times.

iv) Inscriptions: Inscriptions are the written records engraved on rocks, cave walls, metal pillars, walls of temples and palaces, and clay and copper tablets.

v) Tools: Tools are important sources of history. From the tools, we can distinguish the period of History. Historians also can measure the developments of human civilisations.

vi) Artefacts: From the excavation of archaeological sites, archaeologists have found objects which were made by humans. These objects are pottery, tools, ornaments, metal objects, jewellery, and weapons. These are called artefacts.

vii) Manuscripts: Manuscripts are the handwritten records of the past, in the form of books. In the ancient period, these were usually written on palm leaves and the barks of birch trees. Manuscripts can be easily destroyed due to their fragile nature. But these are valuable sources of History.

viii)Ornaments: Ornaments are also an important source. Ornaments of the ancient Period had been found in the excavation sites. Ornaments describe the economic conditions of the contemporary period.
