Thus, sin r = 1 2 4 3 ∴ sin r = 1 2 × 3 4 = 0 . 707 × 0 . 75 = 0 . 53 ≈ 1 2 . ∴ r = sin - 1 1 2 = 30 ° . Hence, the angle of refraction is approximately equal to 30 °
