Reaction between, $H_{2} {SO}_{4}$ and $NaOH .$

$H_{2} {SO}_{4} + 2 NaOH \to {Na}_{2} {SO}_{4} + 2 H_{2} O$

Volume of $H_{2} {SO}_{4}, V_{1} = 50 ml .$

Normality of $H_{2} {SO}_{4}, N_{1} = ?$

Volume of $NaOH, V_{2} = 250 ml$

Normality of $NaOH, N_{2} = 0.2 N$ .

Molarity of $NaOH, M_{2} = 0.2 \times 1 = 0.2 M$ .

Number of moles of $H_{2} {SO}_{4}, n_{1} = 1 mol$ .

Number of moles of $NaOH, n_{2} = 2 mol$ .

We know, $\frac{M_{1} V_{1}}{n_{1}} = \frac{M_{2} V_{2}}{n_{2}}$

Substitute the values in the above formula,

$M_{1} = \frac{250 \times 0.2 \times 1}{2 \times 50} = 0.5 M$

Normality of $H_{2} {SO}_{4}, N_{1} = M_{1} \times n - factor$

$n - factor$ of sulphuric acid $= 2$ (replaceable $H^{+}$ ).

Normality of $H_{2} {SO}_{4}, N_{1} = 0.5 \times 2 = 1 N .$
