Oogenesis is the process of formation of the female gamete, i.e., ovum or egg from oogonia. It takes place in the ovary. This is the gametogenesis process of the female. Several hormones, including estrogen, regulate this process.

Menstruation is a process in which blood and disintegrated tissues flow out every month through the vagina of the human female. It occurs if the egg is not fertilized, and it usually lasts for 3 to 5 days.

Ovulation is the process during which an ovum or egg is released from the ovary. During ovulation, the mature ovum is released by the rupture of the Graafian follicle, and it occurs on the 14th day of the menstrual cycle.
