Cancer is a disease where the cells exhibit an uncontrolled division leading to tumour formation. The techniques that can help in the detection of cancer are as follows: Histopathological studies of tissue: This is the study of the signs of the disease using the microscopic examination of a biopsy or surgical specimen that is processed and fixed onto glass slides. Radiography technique: This is an imaging technique using X-rays, gamma rays, or similar ionising radiation and non-ionising radiation to view the internal form of an object. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): MRI is a diagnostic imaging technique used in radiology to display more information about the internal body structures, clearer than X-Ray. It can be used to create representations of the anatomy and physiological functions of the body in both illness and health.
