(i)-(c) The heart is the pumping organ. It pumps blood through a network of arteries and veins via the circulatory system. The human heart is divided into four chambers. Arteries are the thick-walled blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to all the parts of the body. It delivers oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the tissues of the body. The blood vessels that carry blood back to the heart are veins. (iii)-(d) Xylem vessels help in the transport of water and minerals in the plants. It provides mechanical support to the plant. (iv)-(e) RBCs carry oxygen to the body tissues with the help of respiratory pigment called haemoglobin. (v)-(b) Platelets help in blood clotting. They are also called thrombocytes. They help in the coagulation of blood whenever there is a wound or an injury.
