During the process of photosynthesis, cells use carbon dioxide and energy from the Sun to make sugar molecules (glucose) and oxygen gas. The main objective of this experiment is to describe the importance of the carbon dioxide in the photosynthesis.

Given below is the diagram of an experimental setup: What alteration(s) will you make in it for obtaining the expected result?

The above experimental setup is for the process of photosynthesis. The experiment will not work satisfactorily because, as per the experiment, carbon dioxide is very important in the photosynthesis but this experiment contains lime water it does not absorb CO 2 . To obtaining expected result replace the lime water from potassium hydroxide because it absorbs carbon dioxide.
