(a) — (viii) Parenchyma is a type of simple permanent tissue. It contains living cells. The primary purpose of the parenchyma is to store and absorb food. They serve as stimulants. (i) — (vi) Neuron is the structural and functional unit of the nervous system. It has three parts: cell body, axon, and nerve endings. A single long part (process) projecting out of soma (cell body of a neuron) is called the axon.
