Account for the following statement : Acidic character decreases from N 2 O 3 to Bi 2 O 3 in group 15.

The acidic character of trioxides of group 15 elements decreases as we move down the group i.e., from N 2 O 3 to Bi 2 O 3 because of the increase in atomic size, metallic character and decrease in electronegativity. The pentoxides of group 15 elements are more acidic than their corresponding trioxide.
