Dalia is made from wheat. It is made from broken wheat seeds. Dalia is a very nutritious, healthy and fibrous breakfast used in different dishes. The cracked wheat is soaked until it becomes soft, maybe 15-20 minutes. Then to a pressure cooker, pour ghee, cumin seeds, mustard, chilli powder and curry leaves are added and fried until it becomes golden brown. The onion, tomato, pepper powder and salt is added and mixed well. Then the soaked grains are added and cooked in the pressure cooker for few minutes. This is how dalia is made.
